Letterpress Typeface

About

CAS3D (Cased) is an experimental letterpress typeface that I designed with my friend Samantha Stokes. The font is derived from a geometric form and created entirely from scratch. The goal of the project was to create a fully functional 3D printed, letterpress-ready font using the newest technology and software available through our school system.

Using the 3D printer and the laser cutter, a job case was made to hold each individual letter. Additionally, a series of posters were designed and printed using the letters in order to help explain the typeface through a graphic context.
